My name is Cynthia Berrier and I live in
Kalispell, Montana. Kalispell is 30
miles from Glacier Park. I am married
and am a homemaker. Our one daughter
has finished college and now works for the
City of Long Beach. My hobbies include
doll collecting, sewing, knitting, crocheting,
reading, gardening in the summer, as well
as rafting and hiking.
I am a member of a local mystery book club
that meets every month. I also belong
to a local chapter of the United Federation
of Doll Clubs (UFDC). I am the secretary.
I also volunteer one day a week at our local
historical museum. I do clerical and
data entry work. I really enjoy it.
I took up hand knitting in 2006. Before
that, I knitted using my two knitting machines.
Although I made several sweaters with them,
I could not read or write knitted pattern
instructions. I could only chart.
Once I learned hand knitting I was able to
read pattern instructions and with the ability
to chart patterns, I could design my own
patterns, which has become my passion.
I have loved dolls for as long as I can
remember. I even made quite a few porcelain
dolls, especially antique reproductions.
I have always enjoyed costuming my dolls.
I find this quite rewarding and enjoyable
and hope my knit patterns help you enjoy
creating outfits for your dolls!
