PATTERN #176 – Cropped Cable Cardigan for Slim MSD Size Dolls

 

Here is a wonderful cropped cable cardigan perfect to wear over tee shirts, blouses and dresses.  It was inspired by a free pattern from Cascade Yarns.  Easy construction and with the use of a bit thicker lace weight yarn, it knits up quickly.  The cables are worked on a background of a reverse stockinette stitch pattern.  Designed to fit the slimmer MSD ball-jointed bodies such as Narae, Unoa, Alice in Labyrinth, JIE by Jaime Show, Minifee, Volks MSD, Volks MSD Cute, and vinyl dolls such as Elloywne Wilde series and the Kish Chrysalis series.  Great for a classy look that can be worn with skirts, dresses and slacks or casual wear with jeans.  Your girls will want more in several colors! 

Rating:  #2 - Intermediate.  You need to be able to read instructions, knit and purl, decrease stitches, and work an easy cable pattern.  No chart to read, easy to read line-by-line instructions.  Uses lace weight yarn on size 2/0 (00 or 1.75 mm) needles with a gauge of 11 stitches and 15 rows per inch.  Ribbing for sleeves and body hem uses 3/0 (000 or 1.5 mm) needles.  Tension and yarn used here simulate bulky yarn in the human size version.
